"We are a community tennis venue.
We focus on servicing (pun intended) our local community.
Please enjoy the facilities in a safe and pleasant manner."
Therefore we ask everyone attending LPTC to respect and support these requests:-
- Please be polite.
- No swearing or abusing (yourself or anyone else). - "Time is money".
- We all have smart phones that keep accurate time, so please refer to it when necessary.
1. If your booking time is up, and the next booking is ready to start; please get off the court and invite them to commence their booking without delay.
2. If you are waiting for your booking time to start and there are people on the court; please stay off the court until your time commences.
- Failing to adhere to those 2 requests is outright rude and disrespectful of others; so if you are found to be acting outside those requests we will possibly ask you to not book at LPTC again. - Tennis is a non-contact sport.
- Violence (inc verbal) will result in you being banned from LPTC. - Do wood chopping and axe throwing elsewhere.
- Your racquet is designed to only hit tennis balls; not the ground or a fence, so please do not embarrass yourself. - Tennis courts are not pedestrian crossings.
- Please do not walk across other courts while there are people on them: go for your life if the court is empty. - Have some patience.
- If you hit a ball onto another court then please wait for the people on that court to stop playing before politely asking them them to return it. - Have fun.
- It is amazing how much better you will play if you manage to keep a smile on your face and have a laugh when your shot goes out by a centimetre: not easy to do but worth the effort.
What makes Tennis so special
Tennis has played an important role in the creating and sustaining the social fabric we all enjoy today.
Our local community is blessed with 3 Tennis Centres, and each is managed by people who strive to provide tennis programs for every section of our community.
Irrespective of your age, gender, cultural or religious beliefs, the language you speak, or wether you play or spectate; tennis is a sport that brings us all together in a peaceful manner.
Researchers have proven that people who play tennis retain better physical and mental health: a nice bonus.
That said, tennis players are not immune from mental health issues so we encourage anyone struggling to seek professional help.
